    Airplane Mode and Connectivity Assist

    Didn't fix it

    • If you still can't connect, go back to Settings and make sure that Airplane Mode is off.
    • Tap Wi-Fi again and make sure Connectivity Assist is off. If the Wi-Fi setting appears dimmed (grayed out), restart your device.

    • Uninstall the software.

    Is it only this network?

    Didn't fix it

    • Check if other devices can connect to the Wi-Fi network. If you can connect other devices to the Wi-Fi network, then the router and network are working.
    • If your network doesn't appear, the network might be hidden by technology that blocks unauthorized devices or your network doesn't meet Apple's recommendations.
    • If you don't manage your network and don't know how to make configuration changes, contact your internet service provider (ISP).

    Check and restart the router

    Didn't fix it

    • Update your router with the latest firmware and make sure that the router supports your Apple product. If you need help, contact the router's manufacturer.
    • Make sure that you turn on your router and it is in range—you might be too far from the signal. If your router supports separate frequencies, try joining another frequency—for example, join 5 GHz instead of 2.4 GHz.
    • Restart your router and cable modem by unplugging the devices and then plugging them back in. This refreshes the network connection and can resolve minor connection issues.

    Reset network settings

    Didn't fix it

Apple: “Resetting your network settings causes all network settings to be removed, including your home, work, and school network configurations. Reset network settings only if other solutions fail. If a school or business configures your network, consult with IT or the network administrator before you reset the network.”

    • Open the Settings app.
    • Tap General.
    • Tap Transfer or Reset [device].
    • Tap Reset.
    • Tap Reset Network Settings. This resets all Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings.

If nothing above worked Didn't fix it

    • If you're connected to a Wi-Fi network but can’t get online, try your Wi-Fi network on other devices.
    • If you can't get online using your other devices, there might be a service outage. Contact your ISP.
    • To see if you have an issue with only your own Wi-Fi network, try connecting to Wi-Fi in a different location. If your device can't connect to any Wi-Fi network, contact Apple.
